Name:

Age:
19 years young.

Location:
Mansfield, UK

Your Website:
Brightbox Designs

How long have you been designing/developing websites?
Since I was 16, when I first made one for a local football team. Needless to say, it wasn’t spectacular, but I got the bug.

How to do clients find you?
Word of mouth, 90% of them are recommendations.

Where do you go for inspiration?
Everything around me; I doodle a lot and this helps me create something on paper.

What is your favourite CMS?
Wordpress, pretty much.

What programs/applications do you use when designing/developing a website?
Dreamweaver’s code view helps alot; none of this self righteous belief that only a good coder uses notepad. A smart coder know’s how to handle dreamweaver. Photoshop is my choice of weaponry for graphics.

When starting a new project how do you start?
Head scratching, walking around, talking to my self. Then I get a cuppa and sit down with a pen and paper. Drawing something on paper, something that is tangible is much easier to work with. You can add quick notes, and you can get a ‘view’ of the code too with storyboards.

What do you feel are the most important skills for web designer/developer to have?
A good sense of humor, good communication skills, approachable and THEN have a good knowledge of coding, and the ability to transfer ideas into photoshop.

What skills are you currently developing?
My ability to try new means to attract clients. During this media hyped recession, its a good time to exploit every aspect of hob knobbing.

When you’re not working what are you 5 favourite things to do?
Kicking back, with a beer, watching football. Watching local football teams. Often i’ll go for a walk, just getting away from everything.

Do you have any favorite websites for keeping up to date and interacting with others?
www.webdesignerforum.co.uk
www.stagsnet.net

Are you freelance or do you work for a company?
Im one of those freelance types

What other services do you offer? eg SEO, print design, copywriting, hosting etc.
Print design, graphic design, branding, marketting.

What is your dream job?
I guess im doing it? But on a wider scaler would be a dream. OR working abroad..
